Periscope Residency Units Squared

So I've had a busy couple of months working in East Anglia, but also at Periscope Project Space based at Lee Bank Business Centre. I have been exploring the building and meeting those that work there, and making work in response to my findings. The star being Michael, the centre's cleaner. Michael has provided much insight to the space and plenty of cheery conversation and anecdotes, and features in a small video piece that will be part of the show we are having to complete the residency.

To see what I have been up to come to Periscope, Unit 19, Lee Bank Business Centre, Holloway Head, Birmingham
Thursday 13th Dec 6-8.30pm
or Friday 14th/ Saturday 15th December 12-5pm

NAB 2007

Site specific installation for New Art Birmingham at Curzon St Station in March 2007.
A response to the building, both interior and exterior, drawing lines through space and materials. This is a collection of six smaller pieces brought together as a group representation.

Breezeblock

Two tonnes of breezeblocks laid as a room cut into an already existing room inside of an even larger room. The inside, the outside, the front, and the back. The interior of this work examines the layers of construction and cosmetic application we take for granted and overlook.
